If I had to define myself by a single title it would be - artist.

Because a life well lived can be a work of art.

I am also a historian, writer, explorer, practicing with several creative mediums especially painting, photography, and textiles.

I am perniciously curious. An admirer of a challenge for its own sake - to my occasional detriment. A student of learning. A disciple of discipline burning on my own ethic. And an aesthete in search of birdsong, flowers, fresh water, and good espresso.

I have lived a few lives and I’ll live a few more. The end of my last life was a little violent - I am still integrating the effects.

June 11, 2025 a fall in a private Judo lesson left me with a concussion and minor injuries to my cervical spine. Then persistent post-concussion syndrome, then post traumatic headaches. Most of a year by necessity alone in the dark changed everything. Full recovery remains a question mark. I work around and through a dynamic health experience.

Fragility is not weakness. Only a reality and maybe the kind of door darkened by beauty.
